Expanding on the attributes of the legendary SIG Model P210, SIGARMS' tradition of quality and engineered reliability is now found in a lighter weight, low maintenance Polymer Frame design. The new sig pro models go far beyond the simple substitution of Polymer for Alloy Frame. Newly design polymers now become the space age frame of this advanced combat pistol design, which also incorporated an integral accessory rail.

The internal design is also completely new, working flawlessly with fewer parts yet retaining the smooth dependable function that is a SIG ARMS trademark. Additional features include an integral fire control unit that incorporates the hammer and sear in one modular piece. Conversion from SA/DA to DAO is a simple matter of changing the integral fire control unit. sig pro also come with two interchangeable one piece wrap around grips. The composite grip provides a firm hold while the rubberized grip reduces perceived recoil and increases shooting comfort. A one-piece Blackened Stainless Steel Slide for the ultimate in corrosion protection completes the exterior.

The sig pro SP2340 and SP2009 are Compact Polymer Frame, High Firepower, Semi-Automatic Pistols. The unique Decocking Lever and Patented Automatic Firing Pin Lock allows the hammer to be Safely Lowered with a round in the Chamber and eliminates the need for an external safety.
