Downloading Text Files

  1. Open the page on your web browser (i.e. Netscape)
  2. Left click (or just click for a Mac) on "File" in the toolbar near the top, left corner of the screen
  3. Left click (or just click for a Mac) on "Save As..." from the list of options
  4. A window appears asking for the location where you would like to save the file
  5. Select the desired directory and filename of the document
  6. Left (or just click for a Mac) click on "Save"
  7. The file is saved in the directory you have chosen under the filename you have selected

Downloading Graphic Files Using A PC

  1. Open the page on your web browser (i.e. Netscape)
  2. Right click on the image you would like to download
  3. Left click on "Save Image As..." from the list of options
  4. A window appears asking for the location where you would like to save the file
  5. Select the desired directory and filename of the document
  6. Left click on "Save"
  7. The file is saved in the directory you have chosen under the filename you have selected

Downloading Graphic Files Using A Mac

  1. Open the page on your web browser (i.e. Netscape)
  2. Click on the image you would like to download and hold for a few seconds
  3. Click on "Save Image As..." from the list of options
  4. A window appears asking for the location where you would like to save the file
  5. Select the desired directory and filename of the document
  6. Click on "Save"
  7. The file is saved in the directory you have chosen under the filename you have selected

Printing Text and Graphic Files

  1. Open the page on your web browser (i.e. Netscape)
  2. Left click (or just click for a Mac) on "File" on the menu bar near the top, left corner of the screen
  3. Left click (or just click for a Mac) on "Print" from the list of options
  4. A window appears asking for the printing preferences
  5. Left click (or just click for a Mac) on "Ok" after you have made your choices
  6. The hard copy is printed from your desired printer

Click
Press the button on the mouse.
Download
To save a file in your computer from another computer.
Left Click
Press the left button on the mouse; for a 3-button mouse, press the button to the left of the middle button.
Mac
Short for Macintosh. Easiest way to see if you are using a Mac is to look at your keyboard to see if there are any apples on some keys on the bottom row adjacent to the space bar. If there are apples, then you are most likely using a Mac. Also, if your mouse only has one button then you are using a Mac.
PC
Also know as "IBM Compatible". Easiest way to see if you are using a PC is to look at your keyboard to see if there are any apples on some keys on the bottom row adjacent to the space bar. If there are no apples, then you are most likely using a PC.
Print
To produce a hard copy of the document using your printer without saving the file in your computer.
Right Click
Press the right button on the mouse; for a 3-button mouse, press the button to the right of the middle button.
